Biowaste Basic provides a simple system for decontamination of liquid waste in reduced quantities. It is based on the accumulation and subsequent chemical decontamination of liquid waste produced in a Biological Safety enclosure.
- Its operation is semi-automatic, the equipment warns of the internal situation of the waste tank and proposes the next step to be performed.
- Decontamination is produced by easy-to-use chemicals and market location.
- Once the volume is decontaminated, pressing a button results in emptying the tank towards the general drain line.
- As these are small volumes, neutralization of decontaminated waste is not necessary. If necessary, neutralization protocol would be applied.
- In the smaller units there is a washbasin that works automatically by means of a non-contact electronic sensor (according to UNE EN 12128:2004).
• Contaminated liquids are disposed of through a stainless steel pool, as well as liquids from the sink. The taps of the Biowaste Unit are activated by infrared, avoiding touching it.
• Once the volume of the Biowaste tank is reached, an indicator will be lit warning of the next decontamination process, while disabling the drive of the sink.
• Defined volume of BIOCIDA (TCI) is added to perform chemical decontamination of reservoir effluents.
• Wait a while, between 4 hours and all night (recommended).
• If you continue to add contaminated material, the unit will detect and alert you, cutting off the action of the built-in or outdoor wash faucet.
• After decontamination, the drain button will be pressed. The Biowaste unit will pump the decontaminated liquid into the general grid.
